News|F1 Legend Schumacher's Watches Up for Auction
At the Christie's auction, eight watches from Michael Schumacher's collection were sold, three of which were particularly captivating. The F.P.Journe piece is a unique creation commissioned by former Ferrari boss Jean Todt, featuring the Ferrari logo at the 9 o'clock position on the dial and Schumacher's signature helmet motif at 3 o'clock. The seven red V's symbolize his seven world championships, while the back is engraved with "Xmas 2004—Jean Todt for my friend Michael Schumacher." The Audemars Piguet model is a Royal Oak white gold chronograph, with Schumacher's helmet design on the 9 o'clock sub-dial and the prancing horse emblem at 6 o'clock. The 3 o'clock sub-dial is adorned with six stars and the number "1," representing his six world titles. The back features a laurel wreath enclosing the years of his six championships, along with the inscription "J.Todt pour M. Schumacher, Noel 2003." The Rolex piece is from Schumacher's personal collection—a Daytona with a panda dial. This watch boasts the iconic Paul Newman dial design, renowned for its three-sub-dial layout and inseparable ties to motorsport, making it highly collectible.
